EGI Foundation
Customer and Technical Outreach Manager
Hungary area
I work at the coordinator institute of the EGI e-infrastructure, the largest publicly-funded grid and cloud computing infrastructure of the world (600k CPUs at 300 sites). My role is Customer and Technical Outreach Manager of the EGI federation. I coordinate EGI’s research engagement programme and support researcher communities and educators from academia and industry in tackling big-data and big-compute challenges using state of the art services from EGI members. I hold MSc and PhD in computer science and project management from the University of Miskolc, Hungary.

I became involved in grid computing in 2002 and researched high-level user environments and collaborative design tools. Prior to EGI I worked in training, consultancy and user support for various European projects from my base in Budapest, where I promoted grid technology and distributed computing practices to scientific communities.
