Suresh Marru is a Member of the Apache Software Foundation and is the current PMC chair of the Apache Airavata project. He is the deputy director of Science Gateways Research Center at Indiana University. Suresh focuses on research topics at the intersection of application domain science; computational and distributed systems and has authored or co-authored over 75 peer-reviewed conference papers and journal articles in these areas. He gets his hands on building specialized scientific community interfaces to large scale cyberinfrastructure. Suresh is co-teaching a class on building science gateway architectures and has extensive speaking experience at various conferences including previous ApacheCons.
