I am very interested in working with the development of medical technology. I would particularly like to work with robotics and their applications in healthcare, such as advanced prosthetics or surgical robotics. I am currently in my fourth year at the University of Tennessee pursuing a BS in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Mechanical Engineering. I started as a Computer Science major so I also have some background in programming. I have been working for several months as an undergraduate research assistant under the mentorship of Dr. Xiaopeng Zhao and his research on the acquisition of EEG signals to control robotics. This research has given me the opportunity to further my knowledge of robotics, the brain, and programming in Matlab, Javascript, Python, and C/C++. T
